Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone,

Two posts in one day, can't be bad!!

Here is my entry for the Sketch Challenge over on 'My Craft Creations'. http://craftcreatoins.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-page.html *Winner*

I have used an image from 'The Tale of Two Bad Mice' CD Rom from Crafters Companion. It was a circular pyrimage. I matted this onto a piece of green card which I had cut into a scalloped circle on my Cricut machine using the Lacy Labels cartridge. This was then attached to a coordinating backing paper from the same CD Rom which had in turn been matted and layered onto a larger piece of the green card and then placed on an 8x8 card from my stash. Using a different backing paper, I punched out a smaller mouse image to match the larger topper using the Epiphany circular machine and again attached this onto the green card from my stash. The border was made using a Martha Stewart punch (I think it was called Arches). The flowers and leaves were cut using the 'Flower Shoppe' Cricut cartridge and placed on the card. The paper used for the flowers was a backing paper from the CD Rom which was chosen to match the dress on the mouse on the topper. The leaves were cut from Centura Pearl paper, the centres of the flowers are Card Candy - Moorish from Craftworkcards. The two in the top corners have been coloured using the Pine Green Promarker from Letraset so that they matched the rest of the card.

I hope you like it. I'm sorry that the pictures are dark but I have just taken the photograph in the bedroom light, I prefer to take them in natural light.

Thank you for taking the time to pop along. Any feedback is welcome.

Have a great weekend.

Anything goes when you're young at heart!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I've been decorating the house and then hurt my back, so everything is taking longer than normal.

I wanted to enter this card though for a couple of challenges.

The card was made from a piece of A4 navy blue card and made into a stepper card using my Hougie Board. The topper and backing paper, Jump and Jive is from the Decoupage Plus section of the La Pashe 'The best of 2012' cd rom. I decoupaged the topper and made a hole near the old man's mouth so that I could insert the stem rose so that it looked like he was holding it in his teeth. I matted and layered the topper onto some black card. The blue gingham backing paper was also matted and layered onto black card. In between the two, I sandwiched an old cd and attached the topper at a jaunty angle. I made the stepper card from card I had in my stash and added card candy to the four corners. The sentiment was matted onto black card and attached to the middle at the bottom of the card. I did originally attach some musical notes to the card, but I wasn't sure about this, so took them off.

The challenges I would like to enter this card for are:-
